About the NEST:
Parents in family court often need a neutral exchange site or a place for supervised parenting time, but there are currently very few options available in Kane County. Families often are forced to use local police departments or public spaces for neutral exchanges. Additionally, if a parent is required to have supervised parenting time, they often struggle to find a suitable supervisor or afford a professional service.
The NEST (Neutral Exchange Supervised Time) Family Center, will be a premier facility within Kane County to provide these vital resources to the community.
Leaders in the Kane County family law community and the Kane County Bar Foundation formed a committee to organize and implement a plan to create this center with the support of the 16th Judicial Circuit.
Our Vision:
The NEST strives to foster positive connections, promote family stability, and support the healing and growth of families in transition.
Our Mission:
To provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for families by offering supervised visitation services, family mediation, and neutral parenting exchanges. We are dedicated to ensuring children maintain healthy relationships with both parents while prioritizing their emotional and physical well-being.
Our Plan
Inform the Community
To spread the word throughout the legal community and Kane County to inform people of this vital need and the progress of it being met.
